Philip Lieberman to be Featured Speaker at KuppingerCole European Identity and Cloud Conference
(Los Angeles, CA – May 7, 2013) Lieberman Software Corporation announced that Philip Lieberman, the company’s President and CEO, is a keynote speaker at this year’s KuppingerCole European Identity and Cloud Conference in Munich, Germany. He will discuss new technologies for securing privileged identities in large enterprise and cloud environments.
Lieberman will also participate in two panel discussions about European enterprise and government security regulations, and integrating privileged identity management into the IAM ecosystem. He’ll be joined by other industry leaders including Ravi Bindra, Head of IT security at Novartis, Dr Heinz-Dieter Schmelling, CSO of Portigon AG, and Dr Jorg Hladjk, Head of the International Privacy and Information Management Practice at Hunton and Williams LLP.
“More and more organizations are suffering serious security breaches because their privileged identities are not properly managed,” Lieberman said. “In my keynote, I will present a formal privileged identity management maturity model that I designed based on my company’s extensive experience working with both enterprise customers and regulatory compliance auditors.”
The European Identity and Cloud Conference will take place May 14 – 17, 2013 at the Dolce Ballhaus Forum Unterschleissheim in Munich, Germany. Lieberman’s sessions include:
Securing Privileged Identities in the Real World: A Proposed Maturity Model of Competence and Capabilities
May 14, 2013, 16.50 – 17.10 CET, Session Room: Auditorium
This session will help attendees understand where their organizations sit on the spectrum of privileged identity management maturity, with real-world examples about what those at both the bottom end and top end of the spectrum have done – or not done - and why.
Regulations without Bite: How Secure Are European Enterprises and Governments?
May 15, 2013, 10.30 – 11.30 CET, Session Room: Ammersee1
In this panel discussion, Lieberman will explain how most of his company’s privileged identity management business in the USA stems from regulations that come with severe penalties for failure to comply and remediate security shortcomings. Are European organizations less secure than those in the USA as a result of toothless security regulations and, if so, what should change?
It is not only about Root – Integrating Privilege Management with the Rest of IAM
May 15, 2013, 15.00 – 16.00 CET, Session Room: Ammersee2
This panel will discuss how privileged identity management can be more effectively integrated into the IAM ecosystem.
