Lieberman Software's Service Account Manager™ Achieves Microsoft Windows Vista Certification
Service Account Manager One of Five Products Worldwide to Earn Early Vista Certification
(Los Angeles, CA - Nov. 8, 2006) Lieberman Software Corporation, a leading provider of network management solutions for the Microsoft-based enterprise, today announced that Service Account Manager 5.01, the company's remote services management product, has been certified for Microsoft Windows Vista. Service Account Manager is among the first five products to meet the stringent Vista certification requirements.
"Lieberman Software is at the forefront of companies to offer compatible and fully supported products for Windows Vista," said Phil Lieberman, president of Lieberman Software. "Close collaboration with Microsoft has ensured that our entire suite of applications already operate seamlessly and efficiently with Windows Vista, far in advance of the new operating system's launch. We anticipate that nearly every Lieberman Software product will be certified for the Vista platform in the coming weeks."
The company's initiative to develop Vista compatible products ensures that it will continue to deliver scalable and reliable solutions to customers, even as organizations migrate to the new computing platform. This initiative is aligned with Microsoft's strategic goals for the adoption and deployment of Vista to the market. For nearly a year Lieberman Software has been among the exclusive members of the Microsoft Early Experience Program for Vista, a select group of Microsoft partners delivering key applications to Microsoft Global Accounts. The company also engages with a core group of Microsoft customers and partners participating in the Microsoft Technology Adoption Program (TAP) to verify that Lieberman Software products run on Vista within the environments of these early adopters.
Nearly two years ago, in anticipation of the forthcoming Vista release, Lieberman Software embarked on an aggressive effort to meet Vista compatibility and certification for a series of products.
"Our commitment to Vista was determined early on by the unique security enhancements that Vista provides over Windows XP for our enterprise customers, making the move to Vista a necessity for our security conscious clients," Lieberman said.
Service Account Manager, Lieberman Software's first Vista certified product, remotely accesses, analyzes, and modifies Windows service properties on all managed systems throughout the enterprise. The product provides a consolidated view of every service running on every system in the network, granting administrators the ability to quickly update service credentials and run dynamic dependency analysis on multiple systems from one console, without requiring agents to be deployed to client systems. Benefits of Service Account Manager include increased availability, security, and performance on mission-critical Windows servers.
Certification for Service Account Manager was conducted by an authorized, independent testing provider. The Windows Vista certification program was designed by Microsoft as a standard methodology to verify the security, manageability, and reliability of business-critical applications operating in enterprise environments.
