PRESS RELEASE

Lieberman Software Becomes First Vendor to Earn Three Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Product Certifications

Random Password Manager Meets Microsoft Standards for Manageability and Security in Enterprise Environments

(Los Angeles, CA – March 6, 2008) Lieberman Software’s Random Password Manager has been Certified for Microsoft Windows Server 2008. It is the third Lieberman Software application to achieve this certification, distinguishing the company as the vendor with the most certified products for the new server platform. The company can now offer its customers a complete suite of system security management products able to support the secure deployment of Windows Server 2008.

“We consider Windows Server 2008 to be the next major platform for the enterprise,” said Philip Lieberman, president of Lieberman Software. “We are prepared to support this operating system with a complete range of solutions designed to not only run on and manage Windows Server 2008, but every Windows platform since NT.”

Lieberman Software began working with Microsoft on Windows Server 2008 product certifications more than a year ago. The certification process is part of the company’s strategic initiative to continuously evolve its products to support new technologies, and allow its customers a seamless migration to the latest enterprise platforms.

Random Password Manager automatically randomizes local administrator and root account passwords on systems throughout the enterprise, and enables temporary recovery of current passwords via a secure and audited web interface. Randomization can be conducted from a single console for all managed systems according to schedules established by the administrator. This multi-threaded, agentless solution enables delegated control over which local administrator accounts a user can access and for what time period. Random Password Manager ensures that each system maintains unique account credentials, preventing unrestricted peer-level access throughout the enterprise.

Other Lieberman Software products that have passed Windows Server 2008 Certification include User Manager Pro and Service Account Manager. All three products were displayed at the Microsoft 2008 Launch Wave in Los Angeles on February 27. The company was an exhibitor and sponsor at the Windows Server 2008 launch event. Lieberman Software is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner in the ISV category that has been developing products for the Windows platform since 1994.

The Certified for Windows Server 2008 program was developed by Microsoft as the standard for identifying applications that deliver the highest levels of quality, manageability, and security in the Windows enterprise. Testing is conducted by independent, third party companies that subject applications to a comprehensive analysis to ensure compliance with the rigid technical requirements defined by Microsoft.
