Lieberman Software and FoxT Integrate Top-Rated Privileged Identity and Access Management Solutions

New Partnership Brings Together Secure Privileged Access and Users at Black Hat USA 2011

(LOS ANGELES, CA – August 2, 2011) Lieberman Software Corporation, and FoxT (Fox Technologies, Inc.), today announced a partnership that delivers advanced privileged identity management (PIM) and privileged user management (PUM) capabilities in an integrated interface. Lieberman Software is exhibiting the solution this week in booth 312 at Black Hat USA 2011 at Caesars Palace Hotel in Las Vegas.

The companies’ products will be integrated to work in concert, eliminating a wide range of security threats related to unmanaged privileged passwords. The integration combines the Privileged Identity Management (PIM) capabilities of Lieberman Software’s Enterprise Random Password Manager™ (ERPM) with the top-rated PUM features of FoxT Enterprise Access Management solutions to deliver rapid installation, true scalability and unmatched ease-of-use.

Working together, ERPM and FoxT’s Enterprise Access Management solutions will help multi-platform enterprises achieve continuous compliance while reducing the risks of network attackers and insider threats.

“At Lieberman Software we take pride in partnering with the industry’s top innovators,” said Philip Lieberman, president and CEO of Lieberman Software. “FoxT is the recognized leader in privileged user management and we develop the most advanced privileged identity management products in the security industry. By integrating these capabilities, we give customers the best-performing, most mature PIM and PUM solutions in a single user interface.”

About the Lieberman Software – FoxT Integration
Lieberman Software and FoxT have a combined 30 years of experience in the privileged account password management field. Both companies develop enterprise-ready, widely respected products with rapidly growing and loyal customer bases. By merging each company’s unique, strategic expertise in managing privileged passwords, Lieberman Software and FoxT give customers best-of-breed solutions based on open standards that address audit findings and help maintain regulatory compliance.

ERPM is the first PIM solution that automates the tasks to discover, secure and audit the thousands of privileged credentials used by administrators, computer services and software applications to access sensitive information and computing resources. By doing so, ERPM helps ensure that unauthorized users and malicious programs cannot gain access to sensitive or proprietary data.

In contrast, FoxT’s Enterprise Access Management solutions centrally manage and enforce granular multi-factor authentication and authorization policies down to the OS resource level, including controlled delegation of privileged accounts and the ability to limit which privileged commands can be executed by a given user.

By providing a single solution for managing privileged access across physical and virtual platforms in heterogeneous IT environments, FoxT’s solutions empowers organizations to eliminate the risk of misuse of privileges.

With FoxT’s Enterprise Access Management solutions, privileged passwords are not disclosed to end users and with ERPM, privileged passwords are granted only to authorize IT staff on a need-to-know basis for a limited time. In both cases, a full audit trail of user and administrative access are logged for easy compliance reporting.

Through this new integration, ERPM manages the privileged accounts used by FoxT’s delegation system for users. ERPM also provides direct access to the FoxT user delegation system via an audited web interface. As a result, users can log into ERPM, locate the systems they want to control, issue commands and monitor the responses through one interface.

“Organizations are looking for the ability to manage user access rights and passwords at multiple levels across the enterprise,” said Subhash Tantry, CEO at FoxT.  “Bringing together the best-in-class privileged identity and access management solutions will provide organizations with greater flexibility and depth in how they secure access to systems.  We are also excited about this partnership because both Lieberman Software and FoxT have a common strategy of seamlessly connecting privileged identity and access management to the existing IT infrastructure including SIEM, GRC, identity management, and helpdesk solutions to further streamline administration and compliance reporting.”

The Lieberman Software - FoxT integration is available immediately at no cost to the companies’ supported customers.
