(LOS ANGELES, CA – March 30, 2011) Lieberman Software Corporation announced today that headtechnology has joined the Lieberman Software Partner Program. headtechnology will resell the entire Lieberman Software product line throughout Germany and Eastern Europe, helping its customers secure privileged identities, protect sensitive data, and achieve regulatory compliance.

“At headtechnology we’ve partnered with best-of-breed IT security vendors, providing some of the industry’s leading anti-virus, anti-spam, firewall, intrusion detection and prevention, and data privacy products,” said Harald Schilling, VP International, headtechnology GmbH. “By partnering with Lieberman Software, we’re adding privileged identity management technology to our portfolio, a great asset to our customers concerned with controlling access to the powerful privileged accounts in their enterprises.”

The Privileged Identity Management Market
Privileged identities are “super-user” accounts that hold elevated permission to install, configure and repair applications and hardware throughout the network. These accounts grant systems administrators, database administrators, and other IT staff with shared, anonymous access to an enterprise’s most sensitive IT assets. Organizations that do not frequently change the passwords and provide unique credentials for each of these shared, privileged accounts face the threat of unauthorized users and malicious programs gaining anonymous access to sensitive data via just one compromised password.

Lieberman Software released the first product for the privileged identity management (PIM) space and has regularly updated and expanded its product line while growing its customer base in this emerging market. The company’s flagship PIM solution, Enterprise Random Password Manager™ (ERPM) automates the tasks to discover, inventory, organize and retrieve the thousands of privileged account passwords dispersed throughout customer data centers.

Lieberman Software also develops popular, long standing Windows security management tools, such as User Manager Pro Suite™ and Service Account Manager™, which will also be available to headtechnology customers.

The headtechnology Partnership headtechnology, a Germany-based Value Added Distributor, provides IT security solutions in Germany, Eastern Europe, CIS and Central Asia. The company specializes in products that offer stability, ease of administration, usability and a low total cost of ownership, consolidating in headtechnology’s philosophy of "absolute security".

“Germany has long been one of the prime markets for IT security products, while Eastern Europe is a rapidly emerging region for enterprise security solutions,” said Jess Richter, director of sales at Lieberman Software. “Our partnership with headtechnology, an established security VAR in this region, will help us penetrate these markets.”
