2010 Information Security and Risk Management Conference
“Cloud Security and Privileged Identities in the Cloud”
Tuesday, September 14, 1:30 p.m. PDT

Service providers have begun the difficult task of integrating security solutions into the cloud that can manage the large number of privileged identities within an enterprise infrastructure. But, how can we trust in the cloud if the vendors of cloud-based infrastructures neglect to implement both process and technology to assure that segregation of duties is enforced? What about security auditing of cloud-based solutions in a multi-tenancy environment?

In this session, Mr. Lieberman will discuss today's concerns related to identity management in the cloud and the technology advancements that are quickly and comprehensively gaining control over privileged credentials.  He will discuss the most commonly cited roadblocks to cloud adoption.

“Achieving Continuous Compliance of Privileged Identities in Challenging Environments”
Wednesday, September 22, 10:00 a.m. EDT

It is an unfortunate fact that most organizations have little to no control over their root or administrator credentials.  Furthermore, they have no tracking on the authorized and unauthorized use of these same credentials. This lack of control and oversight leads to deficient audit findings, internal breaches and loss of confidence in the fundamental controls of these critical credentials.

In this session attendees will learn:

•    How to quickly gain (and prove) continuous control over privileged identities in large, complex, highly regulated and extremely secure environments;
•    How privileged identities get out of control, and continue to stay unmanaged and;
•    How to gain control over this problem by implementing solutions that provide continuous, audited proof of compliance.

“Privileged identities continue to be an area of weakness for IT administrators managing vastly complex enterprise infrastructures,” said Philip Lieberman, president and CEO, Lieberman Software.  “Couple that with the growing adoption of cloud computing and we’re faced with even more challenges in the form of embarrassing security breaches and costly IT audit failures.  However, there are solutions available and I’m glad that major industry events such as ISACA’s Information Security and Risk Management conference and ArcSight Protect 10 are giving security professionals the opportunity to take on the discussion.”
