To ensure that only authorized personnel can utilize the powerful privileged account passwords that control access to systems with sensitive data in the enterprise, Lieberman Software has achieved technical interoperability between RSA SecurID® two-factor authentication and its Enterprise Random Password Manager (ERPM) and Random Password Manager (RPM) privileged identity management (PIM) solutions.
RSA SecurID® Two-Factor Authentication for Privileged Identity Management
When ERPM and RPM are used in conjunction with RSA SecurID technology, the products ensure that only staff with physical possession of a hardware authenticator and properly provisioned credentials can access the privileged account passwords generated and stored by the Lieberman Software products. This heightened security is particularly beneficial in preventing data breaches via key loggers, shoulder surfing or social engineering exploits.
The RSA SecurID system is as simple to use as entering a password, but significantly more secure. An RSA SecurID authenticator functions like an ATM card for a network, requiring users to identify themselves with two unique factors - something they know (a password or PIN) and something they have (an RSA SecurID authenticator such as a hardware token) - before they are granted access to sensitive data.
Lieberman Software's self-service password reset tool, Account Reset Console, is also RSA SecurID® certified.
